In The Emotionally Intelligent Team, Vanessa Urch Druskat introduces the Team Emotional Intelligence (EI) Model as a framework to evaluate and improve team performance. She argues that many leaders still lack the capability to intentionally develop high-performing teams and that emotional intelligence at the group level is often overlooked.

An inspiring book! The subtitle “Creating Organizations as Amazing as the People Inside Them” is much more telling. The authors want to show the way form bureaucratic  to human-centric organizations. 

This is a book I’ll keep returning to.

We Will Be Jaguars

We Will Be Jaguars stayed with me long after I finished it. It opened my eyes to perspectives I had never considered and to the deep connection the Indigenous peoples of the Amazon once had with nature, before the arrival of the oil companies. It is a powerful memoir of a courageous Waorani woman.

The Best Team Wins

Very good overview on how to create well performing teams. I read also several other books of these authors and this is taking the concepts and puts them together into “Five Disciplines of Team Leaders” that are very helpful.

Everything is Tuberculosis

This was such an eye-opening read. The book grabbed me from the very first page, and I couldn’t put it down. It is disturbing how little I actually knew about tuberculosis until now.

Women Money Power

Super interesting read. Helps to understand where we came from regarding empancipation, what was already achieved and where and why we still struggle.
